Monica Cisneros Heyne is a legal recruiter with Avalon Legal Search. Monica specializes in recruiting lawyers of all levels and for a variety of practice areas for both law firms and corporate clients throughout Texas.
Prior to joining the Avalon Legal Search, Monica worked as an advocate for children with special needs in helping patients identify the leading experts for their conditions by scouring academic literature, speaking with healthcare providers, and reviewing and analyzing clinical drug trials information. She has provided consultation to the Health and Human Services taskforce responsible for creating a website designed to help families who have children with disabilities or special healthcare needs and researchers at Texas A&M University on the experience of people with disabilities and their representatives as Texas transitioned children with disabilities from fee-for-service to Medicaid Managed Care (MMC). Monica’s energy, compassion, and commitment to making a difference in the world is tireless, and she is an active member of various parent groups relating to special needs.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Monica holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas, an M.P.H. from Columbia University, and an M.B.A. from Rice University. Prior to becoming a legal recruiter with Avalon Legal Search, Monica worked for the T.T.L.A. and as a management consultant in a variety of industries and functions.
Monica brings her real world understanding and application of research along with her uncanny ability to instantly connect with all types of people to her passion for learning what truly motivates people. This research focused approach provides Monica with the framework to identify opportunities that will truly enhance people’s goals and long-term desires. She brings a compassionate presence, a warm smile, and approachable conversation to listening, learning, and strategically improving people’s professional lives.
Outside of work, can you can find Monica volunteering or enjoying Houston’s parks, museums and trying different iterations of queso all over town with her husband and 3 children.
